65 and Over? Get your CONGRATULATORY Certificate from the Prime Minister…

On request, the Prime Minister sends congratulatory certificates to Canadians celebrating significant birthdays or wedding anniversaries.

Commemorate a loved one’s birthday (65 and up) or wedding anniversary (25 years and up) with a congratulatory certificate from the prime minister. Apply online at pm.gc.ca.



Congratulatory certificates are available for:


25th wedding anniversaries and up (at 5-year intervals)
65th birthdays and up.

You can send your request one of three ways:

1. Online by filling out and submitting either a
Birthday Congratulatory Message from the Prime Minister Form

or a

Wedding Anniversary Congratulatory Message from the Prime Minister Form

2. Filling out and Faxing a Congratulatory Message from the Prime Minister PDF form (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader)

3. By contacting:

To ensure on-time delivery, we ask that you submit your request at least six weeks before the event date.


The Governor General sends messages to Canadians who are 90 years of age or have been married for 50 years or more, while Queen Elizabeth II congratulates those who are 100 years old or longer.  Find the forms at gg.ca.  Or read more here.
